The International Magnum Wine Competition is the only competition worldwide devoted to emphasizing the quality of wines kept in bottles with a capacity of 1.5 litres. In each and every competition, wine references from Spain, France, Italy, Hungary or Portugal, among other locations, take part in. The wines will be tasted by an international jury composed of prominent experts from the sector.
Furthermore, this wine competition is endorsed by the OIV (International Organisation of Vine and Wine) that ensures scores’ reliability, jurors’ professional skill and the quality of results.
International Magnum Wine Competition within the framework of HORECA WINE & SPIRITS - HIP 2022
HIP (HORECA Professional Expo) is the most important Spanish event for HORECA (hotels, restaurants & catering) channel, it will be held in Madrid from 7th to 9th March, and is the ideal moment to hold the International Magnum Wine Competition. Moreover, this year, HIP will launch a new area devoted to the world of wines and spirits: HORECA Wine & Spirits, co-organized by the company Enopassion.
This new area will be a meeting point for professionals. HIP hosts 25,000 professional visitors each and every year, including purchase decision-makers and key operators from the FOODSERVICE channel; and they will all find the most suitable products to add value to their businesses via wines and spirits. This is an ideal occasion in order to make known the best wines bottled in a Magnum format and to boost its qualities and use as a distinctive offer.
During the competition, as well as after it has ended, several activities will be carried out, giving the HORECA channel the opportunity of getting to know the benefits of this bottle-size, as well as wine elaborations of the highest quality.
Activities of the International Magnum Wine Competition:
The competition will take place on the days prior to HIP with an international jury composed of approximately 20 people, who are mainly Europeans, among whom: sommeliers, distributors, buyers, prescribers and journalists.
